Vernal Love

Of course the highlight
this week for the kids
was when Maddie
came and stayed with us.

We were really bored
today so we went on
a rock hunt and found
some good bricks to
paint and turn into
Box Heads. (Tyler's idea)

Nathan reads at night
to Tyler. (Harry Potter
and The Great Brain)

Our new swing

Wow.

Jiggly Bum and Play-Doh Legs

I HAD to sit down and write this before I forget all the gruesome details. My issue with exercising is this: Can't Heavenly Father create a way to lose extra bonus calories on the treadmill simply for the obstacles a mother must deal with while running? For 30 minutes Hailey was hanging on the right side of the treadmill like it is a jungle gym singing as loud as she can to her 99 cent am/fm "ipod" (she doesn't know that there are waaay better Mp3 players out there), trying over and over to grab my ankle during the slower walking part. Emma is on my left side with her 10 gallons of Victoria Secret perfume on (4 different smells which = my stomach churning the whole time) while dropping a little doll brush on the treadmill to watch it "ride" down. Mason is sleeping and Tyler is "listening" for him, or so I think until Tyler comes down wanting me to fix his new yo-yo. So now I am stressed that Mason is awake from his nap screaming in his crib. All this for a measly 195 calories burned off. Oh yea, and my ipod is playing fabulous kid tunes like "Bert and Ernie" and On Top of Spaghetti, but I will take responsibility for that because I use all my computer time documenting these precious moments rather than fix my itunes play list.

P.S. The title of this post actually came from Tyler and Hailey's mouths. I laughed the first time they said it because it was so funny, now they ALWAYS say it. grrrrrr. But I still smile my "I-am-a-patient-and-pleasant-mom" smile just because I am patient and pleasant mom, right? :)

A big ole handful of pictures....

So Nathan is having me texture our
stinking ceiling. Ah the joys of joint compound plopping in my eye.
(Why he thinks I am able to do this with 4 little kids
-one a baby permanently attached to my hip-I will
never know). But we were able to do some fun
things this week:

Vernal=Dinosaurland

Cave women

Tyler was beyond irritated that I made
him listen to the boring plate-tectonic
fossil movie.

The extent of Mason's fun.

A little acting. :)

Some Emma pictures.....

......(first dance recital where she
did nothing but stand there on the stage.)...

....the coolest toy I own in my opinion.

2 Sundays ago Nate took us for a Sunday drive.
Little did I know we would be up to our ankles in
mud and doing this...(Look at how Nate carried Mason in his car seat). He always has a surprise up his sleeve.

Mason's Blessing

It was a wonderful day for us. Jamie calls him Miracle Mason. :)

Getting fatter...

...but can't quite catch up to Lucy Bug.
****Jamie has me scared that some wacko from the United Kingdom will come and stalk me, (kidding....sort of), so I am going to privat-ize my blog. Anyone that I know and like are welcome to come "over" and see what is going on with us though. (I like everyone that I have seen here on this blog. :) Maybe in the next week I will do it, so send me an email if you want to keep coming around.

(*See Below*)

Oh, what a beautiful Mornin' ! Oh, what a beautiful Day!

I really am singing this song.(I even say mornin without the "g"). Little Dollar -Nate's gazillionth nickname for our last born child- slept 11 hours straight. Yippee!

On a side note: 5 self-enjoyments that I have had the last few days which I would like to share with whomever-

Book: The Giver by Lois Lowry

Movie: Evan Almighty

Activity: Tyler and Hailey's first piano recital. (Which they did awesome and were so nervous for.) It was at the Vernal High School and they had a wall of famous people that have come from that school. Valoy (Nate's dad) was on it. He's a famous artist.(I forget sometimes because he is just Moosie to me.) And low and behold Dallin H. Oaks was up there, too. I searched for the info on the web, and while I can't find where he went to high school, (at least from a reputable site) he did live here in fifth-grade. Cool.

Web Site: http://www.goodreads.com/ If you want to do more reading than check this place out. I will become your "Friend" so we can share book reviews. I get a lot of ideas from this place.

Recipe: I am sooooo late in the game I know, but my mother-in-law made some Rhodes-dough rolls for us. Holy cow I thought she was the best cook ever. (Which she is anyway). I have never bought Rhodes dough, but they are worth it. Slap some butter on them before you bake them and you will taste a little bit of heaven.

I already told my family, but Mason had his hearing checked at Primary on Monday. Everything is perfect. (!!!!!)

Hailey is 7

We mustn't EVER forget a rose!

Good ole' Pin the Tail.

Pajama Party with High School Musical 2

Her favorite present: A Hannah Montana wig.

My favorite part of the party. Tyler gets out this nasty wig and starts dancing like he is Corbin Bleu.

Nope never mind. This is my favorite part. I wish I had more pictures of her.SOOOOOOOO funny.

This baby likes to cuddle more than any other baby. We LOVE it.

Emma and her best Eaton cuz, Miss Megan.

We stopped in Heber and Nate golfed with Moose. That place is so beautiful.

awwww......

Sometimes sleep is a nuisance to me (only sometimes :) because my family is so enjoyable and I want to keep "playing" . Here are some funny times for me these last few weeks.

Do NOT under and circumstances tease Tyler about this picture until he is at least 16. I let the kids drink water out of Mason's bottles. What can I say? Rachel ruined me by giving me her bottles when she was a baby and I was a 100 pound three year old.

Mason is talking now! Well, almost.

He does smile a lot though. :)

What. A. Good. Looking......................Motorcycle. No seriously, Nathan looked especially cute here don't you think?

Mason is getting chunky finally. Maybe it is the horizontal stripes, I don't know. But I like my babies fat please. He is 2 months old here.

First updo AND dangle earrings. Growing up. She was feeling extra pretty this day.

Tyler was so anxious to set up Mason's crib and finally share a room with a little brother that he hauled in all the pieces from the garage by himself. (And then asked to be payed. grrrr. Yea right). Speaking of sleeping, Mason slept 9 hours straight last night for the first time. Hallelujah! I have never had a baby sleep through the night until at least 6 months. What a difference.

Whoa holy cowgirl.

Double whoa holy cowgirl.

Hat Day at school. He just looked so dang cute...

Starting them early. Must Love Books.

"I'm a Little Teapot"

Emma just sang this song, but with these words:

"I'm a little teacup smart and cute". Isn't she smart and cute?:)
