First Day of School

Well Family-
The Stacey Eaton camera tradition continues. What does that mean? I can't keep a digital camera alive and in working condition for the life of me, which is why I don't trust a super nice camera in my house ever. All I had was a disposable camera for the first day of 1st grade and 2nd grade, (for now),but an update is coming regardless. The night before Hailey and Tyler laid out their "first-day-of-school-outfit" and told me they wanted to be put to bed at 7:00 so they wouldn't be tired. The lights are out and Hailey starts yelling because her front tooth fell out, and then they laughed for the next 30 minutes at her new lisp. (The "s" problem). We got up at 7:00 am and I made bacon, eggs and toast, (hard to smell with a nauseous stomach!). I walked them over to Discovery and Hailey jabbered the entire time with her excitement. She marched right in her class and sat down by two other girls. (Teacher-Mrs Allen). Tyler was more shy but put on a brave face. (Teacher- Mrs Krubsack). He had assigned seating and was at the very end of the row next to a girl, so I felt bad for him. I could tell he was scared and I knew when Emma and I walked out of his classroom his stomach would just drop, but the boy must grow to be a warrior. Had warm cookies and milk at the end of the day, and they were excited to go again this morning. And what do Emma and I do for 7 hours of alone time? For now: color, go grocery shopping, nap together, and watch Maisy and Caillou. Nice.

Moctezuma's Revenge

As much as I love blogging, for now my new goal is to update once a month, (for as long as I am in this nasty stage of morning sickness). I am so miserable and discouraged. I have the extreme version of morning sickness called Hyperemesis Graviderum (HG for short) which is, (hmm hmm....dictionary definition:) " a debilitating and potentially life-threatening pregnancy disease marked by rapid weight loss, malnutrition, and dehydration due to unrelenting nausea and/or vomiting with potential adverse consequences for the newborn(s)." The signs are: losing 5-10 % of your body weight, dehydration and production of keytones, (meaning you are starving), nutritional deficiencies, metabolic imbalances and difficulty with daily activities. I am not even going to go into the scary stuff that could happen if you don't control it, which I am. I am taking a wonderful constipation-inducing medley of medications to keep it somewhat under control, and so far it is working. I have avoided dehydration enough to stay off the i.v. (PICC line), which is what I had to do with Emma's pregnancy.
So I am living day to day with this, hoping I am not sick the entire 9 months. My baby Emma went to Vegas, (again) to stay with Rachel, Mom and now Jamie. She, of course, was so excited to go and see Maddie, but it was very hard to see her go. I will say I am amazed with how my entire family has stepped up to give the help that they can with this pregnancy. I feel like when I get pregnant, my entire family has to suffer. I truly hate being pregnant, and I think that nausea is of the devil. (Although I do enjoy the baby kicking).
I know that I will be rewarded for all this suffering with a beautiful baby in March, so I will keep going hour by hour. I really want to tell my family how absolutely grateful I am for their service and compassion. I don't know what I would do without such a great family.
I am wondering if anyone has ever dealt with this degree of sickness. Give me some pointers. If you want to experience it, then go to Mexico and drink a gallon of tap water. Then, know that I am jealous because you get to be over it in 24-72 hours.

Candace Tag

My sister-in-law tagged me so I should list some facts about me. But I am an open book, so I will instead take this "opportunity" to say one thing that no one knows about me. (Except family.)

1)I'm pregnant! We are excited for another baby. :) I am due March 15th.

The Summer of Blood Sweat and Tears

I took the puke pictures off already!!! They were fun. A quick update on us:
I miss having internet. Haven't had it for a few weeks. We have been back and forth to Vernal doing alot of remodeling in our new home. I wrote earlier that we bought an older home to have a really big back yard for the kids, but it has been major work. We have ripped up carpet, scraped off popcorn ceiling, redone all light fixtures, tiled, painted and have tried to keep up with our 3/4 acre which is a huge amount of work in itself. All this and I am trying to look presentable with all the friendly neighbors stopping by. We are off to California next week followed by a few reunions and the start of school. Hopefully I will get a home office soon so I won't have to sit on my front porch stealing the neighbors internet signal.
Also, our Springville home buyer just fell through so we are having to put our house back on the market. :( Yuck. Other than that we are moving along quite nicely.

"The Truth About Life's Great Questions is Now Restored"

I am digging it big time. This is the title of the new media ad that the LDS church is doing in a few cities across the United States. It is through the radio, billboard, t.v. ads, magazine ads, (I saw one in Time magazine) and moving billboards. I was able to see church headquarters' explanation and the commercials in my sister Rachel's ward this Sunday, and it makes me want to (finally)be a missionary. So on my flight home yesterday I promised I would try and start a conversation with one of the people I was sitting next to, and since Miss Snooze on my left was asleep even before lift off, I chose an older gentleman on my right. I have never been so scared in my life. I listened to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir for 45 minutes to give me some strength and tried at least 10 times to start a conversation. FINALLY, I said, "So, do you happen to be LDS?" Answer: "Yes, in fact I am a bishop". Oh my loveness, I cracked up. We talked for a long while and that was the extent of my "every member a missionary" experience. Some of the "questions of the soul" which are on the ad campaign are as follows, (and the answers-which are so foreign to me that other's don't know them-are found on www.mormon.org):

1)Does God really know me?
2)What's the purpose of this life?
3)Does God have more to teach us?
4)Could a young farm boy really have seen God?
5)Isn't everyone searching for the truth?
6)What's missing in my life?
7)God has a plan for my life?
8)Motherhood is part of God's plan?
9)How can I find answers to my life's questions?
10)Does life have to be painful?
11)Does God have more for me?
12)I can be married forever?
13)Does God care about my suffering?
14)Did I exist before this life?
15)What happens to people who've never heard of Jesus Christ?
