Tyler T. Turkey

Tyler is growing up. And since he's growing up he is in Young Men's which I cannot say how grateful I am for enough. How do parents raise children if they aren't LDS or even religious? Who knows.
The last month he has ridden his bike from Santaquin to Mapleton (25 miles), sang in a choir and is the new 2nd counselor in the Deacons Quorum. All because of church.

...EXACT moment I was in haileys classroom and we were waiting for the school nurse to come in and talk to us about girls puberty fun!! (Hailey is completely open about this topic unlike Tyler was.)
Never thought this day would come. :)

Soooo sweet

Hailey got to write a book and have it published in school. She chose to title it "My Sister and Me". She dedicated it to "The most wonderful, beautiful, kind, sporty, musical sister in the whole wide world, Emma." She talks about stuff they do together (paint nails and read at night in bed), their dream vacations (Washington DC and Hawaii), and what they love to eat, (Moms steak with A-1 sauce every Sunday night.)

Glasses

Emma is REALLY into fake glasses. Wears them every waking moment. :/ So she broke her last pair and I took her to get new ones if she cleaned her room. Bought an ice cream cone on the way and took silly pictures. Now it was "the best mommy daughter date ever!" -Emma

Harris time

Rachel and Josh (and Angus dog) came up to retrieve Miss Maddie. We went to the Hot Pot and Heber Valley Cheese Factory, and than stayed in te Harris Park City condo. Family=Fun.

Happy 7th Emma Bear

We had a birthday dinner at Olive Garden (Emmas choice) with Maddie and Emma decided she wanted 100 dollars rather than any gifts or party with friends. (She's the only child to ever choose thus option, which I prefer because it's way less stress for me and actually cheaper. Parties are pricy!)

I love teaching a new child the joys of Candyland.

Cleaning trains with Zions Bank in Heber for a service project.

(Called the Heber Creeper). Mason was in LOVE.

Championship

Tylers team was in second place in the tournament and had to play Lehi (who was undefeated) today for the championship. Short version: Tylers team won! He averages 5-6 rebounds per game, his best is 9, and today he got FIFTEEN! Awesome awesome game. (Even with the crappy refs who let the other team travel a bazillion times.)
I may have even cried a bit. He's worked extremely hard on BBall this year. I'm so proud of him.

Tyler is signing up for the "fun" classes in 7th grade. He chose Speech/Drama as his 2nd choice because "I can kiss girls on the stage." AHH! (1st choice was orchestra cello! I didn't even ask/push for this, he just chose on his own because he "saw how much you (Mom) loved it and we can play in the same orchestra when I get older."

 

Wow. Love the first choice. Not sure about the second choice. :)

Big Boys

We bought Tyler a new bike for The Boy Scouts badge he's earning. He's doing 10 mile rides now and working up to a 50 mile bike ride in 2 months.
Nathan was in the Midway Newspaper for giving money to smart high school kids. Rad.

Mason Dale Eaton

This kiddo is my bud. Yesterday he told me he would "protect" me if a bad guy would come in our house, but I need to buy him a sword first. :)
So on slow mornings when all the kids are in school we like to take pictures of us. This was his favorite. Also, he is the first child of mine to be attached to a bear (Fluffy Bear). So cute. Lastly, he got a new bike. Its name is BA-BA.
I realize these three pictures are from three different days, yet he's wearing pjs in all of them. Gah. I promise I put him in clothes every morning.

How did that happen?

My Easter tradition is to buy books for my kids. Tyler's and Hailey's came today. Why is time going by so fast??? :/

Haileys 5th grade Choir Concert

Practise's before school 3 times a week for 3 months (without missing even one) = a fantastic concert. My favorite song was the 2-part Danny Boy. Made me cry. :) Grandma Eaton loved it as well.

Pajama church Spring 2012

We played games. Games with treats and "homework packets" and poker cards. I like how all my pictures are taken from the couch. Yes, that is where I am still. Sniffing the Bacon Swirlies cooking. Should I go help??
