Provo Pyschos

Grandma's in town so we got a late night date with no kids!! (Doesn't happen enough). We went to Nathan's mission reunion, dinner and then to "Blades of Glory". Of course BYU and UVSC students are everywhere in tight leotards and having dance-offs before the movie. Oh what a crazy care-free season of life that is. But I wonder: Does everyone that has gone to either of these schools think that all of Utah Valley is like this? This answer is NO. There is normalcy in the surrounding areas. Please don't judge us by the college kids. (By the way, I laughed until I cried in that movie. By another way, Jon Heder aka Napoleon Dynamite is from Springville. By the last way, I don't mean to offend any students of these schools. I went to BYU, too, and was proud of it.)

Happy Birthday to you..

happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Brian, happy birthday to you.

I used to love playing school with my little brother and sister.

Tyler Tales

I was shopping for summer clothes for the kids, and so I asked what color of shorts Tyler likes.(He is somewhat picky). Here's what he said:

T: "Red and black".
Me: "What kind of material do you like?"
T: "Um....leather....and silk."

I am sad to say that Buddha the Lizard has died of unknown causes. Tyler is very sad, but said that Evan could play with him, and he hopes Max doesn't eat him.

Embarrassing

Everyday Emma has a "thing" about some little toy in our house. She has to carry it around, sleep with it, take it in the car, whatever. That is fine when it is a soft cuddly bunny Foo-Foo or a favorite book, but on Friday it was a pocketknife and a bottle of baby sunblock- the one where the dog is pulling down the baby's diaper and the bum shows. (I tried to take a picture). She says "bum-crack" every five seconds and points to it-thanks to Hailey. She got mad when I tried to take them away, although after this picture I grabbed the pocketknife and hid it. (It was extremely hard to open, but it's a weapon for crying out loud).

For Candace, Mom, Rachel, Carol, Jamie, and Kyle's future wife...The Stucki girls!!!

I made bacon, eggs and waffles for the kids this morning, and as I set down the bacon in front of Tyler, he looks at it and says, "I only expect burnt bacon from a Stucki girl!" ....and smiles really big. (Sounds like he is quoting Kyle.)

And then....
last night an hour after the kids bedtime, I turned around in my living room and Tyler is standing behind me with a cowboy hat and his shotgun and says:

(Tyler)"Give me your wallet!"
(me) "No Tyler..."
(Tyler) "Then can I borrow some change?"

Needless to say I cracked up and he was not in trouble for being out of bed an hour later. :)

$$$$

If you were given $1,000.00 right now, what would you buy?

Misc.

Tyler told me to take this picture at Paul's farewell party. It is his tough face.

Yea, Dad's home!

This was on March 8th. Snow still on the mountains. Summer is all year long for Hailey

Emma has to be carrying at least 3 things around everywhere we go. A papa-cy, ki-ki, and a bear or bunny.

Color changes

I wore brown capris, a yellow shirt and a grey tank top under yesterday. (Sounds wierd but it so wasn't). Dang cute, so I had to match my outfit to my blog. Love change. :)

My paint and redecorating project this week...(bathroom and my bedroom). This is the AFTER picture ha ha :)

More Tyler oddities from yesterday:

1)Me- "Tyler, you need to go clean your room".
Tyler- "Okay, Mom. Because I am a man of my word."

2)Me-"Hailey, why did (your friend) Riley put that blanket on the snow and get it wet?"
Hailey-"I don't know."
Tyler- "I am going to beat her up at school tomorrow".

(Of course Tyler is so gentle and warm-hearted he wouldn't beat up a girl!)

For The Daddy....

Nate is out of town on business, (and I MISS him!!!!) so he wasn't here to witness Hailey's first lost tooth this morning. A lot of excitement at our house today! (Nate, you have to read this blog so you can share in the thrills of tooth fairy-ness). Emma was waiting for her lunch and was so excited for apple juice that she made me laugh. Tyler's picture is not from today, but it is adorable and I want to be fair with the kid pictures I post. (Dumb, but that's me).

Not flava, but instead texture.

Hmm, not sure if I should ask this question, but I am interested in anyone else's response. After fasting today, (minus the spiritual side), I had a few moments where I just plain thought of food. I was wondering if anyone liked a certain food, NOT because of the taste or flavor per se, but for the texture. Mine would be water chestnuts for sure, (yea for the most original crunch!) and for the Airhead candy. Their flavor you can find in almost any other candy, but that slightly grainy texture. Scrum.dilly.umptious. And also, what is your favorite calling in the church? Least favorite? Don't be shy now. If you are bored and have the time, let me know. I like these kind of questions/answers. (All right, so I may be a little bored with time on my hands. Back off...) Just kidding. :)

Nathan!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nathan has looked at this blog maybe twice??? right when I started it last year. He hasn't seen my wonderfully creative "My Things That Make Me Happy" list, so I decided to sit by him on the couch last night and read it out loud. By the time I was at "My favorite question in the world from Nate, 'How are you doing physically, mentally, and emotionally?', and then really listens to my answer", (see sidebar), his eyes were glazed over and he seemed to be in a coma state. I was offended at first, but then started laughing. Husbands!

Cool Stucki Family Pictures

I am so glad we are a family of digital camera lovers.

I understand if no one comments because this picture is boring...

...but I felt guilty because I didn't add Gato on my "Pet Pictures Blog" with Belle and Buddha. Plus I have no double chin and my hair looked cute. Notice how Gato is sitting like a human on his *seater. He sits like that for about an hour and then flops over to one side, rolls on his back, and sits about 10-12 more hours until it is time to eat again. (*I wrote seater because when Mom was little that was a bad word for a rear/bum, and she would get nervous and scared whenever they drove through Cedar City. She felt like it was a sin. But then we all grew up in Sin City, so go figure.)
