A little reality shock...

Tyler was hired to watch all the kids for SEVEN hours today so that Nathan and I could go to Prestons wedding. Afterwards I asked him if he was ready to be a dad. He said, "NO. Nobody listened to me, Mason kept dumping out games and toys, and the house is so messy."
I hear ya buddy. :)

Zions Bank

Nathan's branch in Heber is a 100 year old building (that used to be a home) but is going to be replaced by a brand new building on the corner of Center and Main. MamaLinda and I were able to see him speak at the groundbreaking along with both the Midway and Heber mayors, the CEO of Zions, and other invited guests. Nathan did great!

Voted

"Most Talented Basketball Player" in 6th grade yearbook.

Trafalga

Today we went and visited Grandpa Stucki who chose to show the kids their mom when she had "3 chins". :) After yummy In & Out we went to Trafalga and played games. I know I'm getting a little old by insisting we leave after 2 hours because it's SO DANG LOUD. (Notice Emmas 2nd day of India outfit and Masons snow boots.)

P.S Tyler is on his second attempt to try and convince me to let him grow his hair out and get the Beiber haircut. Puuuuuuuke.

Temple part 2

They had a bunch of awesome animals in the backyard. Tyler LOVED when the parrot said "Hello". He refused to go see the llamas and peacocks and just stayed by Polly.
Emma used her allowance to buy an outfit from India. I don't have a picture but when we got home she took out my bronzer and put on at least 10 coats so she could be an "Indian."

Radha Krishna Temple

Free tours to the Krishna Temple in Salem. Took the kids down and learned about the religion. I hope we weren't too annoying, what with Emma putting her baby doll on one of their gods. (didn't notice until I saw the picture.)

Ensign

Valoy is going through his office and found THIS. (That boy in the middle is my Nathan.)
Not too many people can say they are on the cover of an Ensign. Plus this artwork is of Midway. Even awesomer.

Why I love FHE

Even though we are all exhausted from our first trip to Seven Peaks, and even though Valoys air conditioning went out and we are all sweating bullets, and even though I had to quickly find a last minute lesson on Pinterest, (The Woman at the Well), and even though I had to turn off a Jazz game and Cake Boss, I'm so glad I did it. Why? Because while we were eating our traditional treat of brownies and ice cream, Emma looks up at me and says with a grin, "I love my life. And I love my family."
:D
