Today:

A) Emma wore a cheerleading costume to school. For no reason.(And an orange headband. Not sure why.)
She also told me in the car that she guesses she will "have a husband" so she can have a baby. But he "has to cook and clean". I asked her what she will do and she said play with the baby and lay on the couch and eat snacks. Hmmm. I swear she did not learn this by watching her mother.
B) Threw rocks in a river after school. (Tyler and Hailey wanted to be dropped off at home first. I guess they grew out of rock throwing.)
C) Watched Mason do boy things. That boy can squirt.
D) Walked outside to go to MY school and almost tripped over a neighbors' pet deer. Now I want one. Or two...

Games

I have played Rummikub with the kids all weekend. Mason doesn't quite get it so this is what he does during the game. A.n.n.o.y.i.n.g.

Saturday

I had a nice long list for Nathan to do, but he said, "I want to take the kids to Toys R Us to look at toys". So he did. And nothing on the list got done, but I'm okay with that. :)

Great FHE night

We talked about goodly parents and I asked Valoy to tell us about Ellie. Wow was she amazing. Every calling in the church, head cheerleader, Student Body president and President of Debate Club ( along with 10 or so other clubs) BYU and Utah State student, raised 5 kids and ran their business for decades, and was told by President Monson (to Valoy), "That is one great woman."

Boys update:

T: Had a BBall game on Monday which I couldn't go to with the little kids, (too long/far away for a school night). I DID get a message on my phone, though, that said, "Hey Mom, we were down by one with 3 seconds to go and I got a buzzer beater. Bye." (Of course I had to call back and see what that meant.)

M: The last two days this little monkey has declared, "I will put myself to bed for my nap."
Sure ok. He gets his water, turns his sound machine on, shuts the door and actually goes to sleep. Awesomeness. This makes up for his super annoying habit of grabbing my arm, leg or belly fat and saying, "Squishy squishy" over and over.

Sweet sweet sweet

Today was busy. Ellie to Dilliards, Mason to preschool, Hailey to Target, Tyler to Midway, dinner, homework, cleaning, parenting, disciplining, my school, etc. But at 3:30 I had about an hour of nothing to do. I decided I would invite Emma in my room and just listen. And woah did I listen. She just talked forever about the most random stuff, and merged into a storywithoutanending about ducks, fairies and a parade. As much as I enjoyed it I wrapped things up by taking a few pictures of her....

(But it was worth the time. After I got home from school at 11:15pm I had a note on my bed:
"gnit! Mom. I love you. Love emma")

(P.S. Sometimes Tyler and Mason sleep on the couches. I checked on them tonight and found them asleep on the same couch. Look at their hands. :)

On the way home...

I was able to meet up with Shivonn Geeb, best friend from high school, for Einstein bagels. She was very patient with my kids in tow. In St. George Emma begged me to stop and let her feel a palm tree. :)

Stuckis

Went and saw pregnant Candace who's ready to have baby Sam in April. I checked on Will and Mason and I heard "Story time", then "Toy time", then "Truck time" in less than two minutes.

Las Vegas weekend

Nathan has been gone all weekend on a "guys trip" (which btw Lexi Eaton won the WCC championship) so I took the 3 youngest kids to Vegas for grandpa Tingeys wedding to Nid. The weather was so beautiful and happy. Stayed at Rachels and almost poisoned her dog Angus with chocolate. (Not sure how but my gut feeling is that it had to do with Mason. went to the park with Candace. Superfunday. :)

Fairy club
