For The Daddy....

Nate is out of town on business, (and I MISS him!!!!) so he wasn't here to witness Hailey's first lost tooth this morning. A lot of excitement at our house today! (Nate, you have to read this blog so you can share in the thrills of tooth fairy-ness). Emma was waiting for her lunch and was so excited for apple juice that she made me laugh. Tyler's picture is not from today, but it is adorable and I want to be fair with the kid pictures I post. (Dumb, but that's me).

Not flava, but instead texture.

Hmm, not sure if I should ask this question, but I am interested in anyone else's response. After fasting today, (minus the spiritual side), I had a few moments where I just plain thought of food. I was wondering if anyone liked a certain food, NOT because of the taste or flavor per se, but for the texture. Mine would be water chestnuts for sure, (yea for the most original crunch!) and for the Airhead candy. Their flavor you can find in almost any other candy, but that slightly grainy texture. Scrum.dilly.umptious. And also, what is your favorite calling in the church? Least favorite? Don't be shy now. If you are bored and have the time, let me know. I like these kind of questions/answers. (All right, so I may be a little bored with time on my hands. Back off...) Just kidding. :)

Nathan!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nathan has looked at this blog maybe twice??? right when I started it last year. He hasn't seen my wonderfully creative "My Things That Make Me Happy" list, so I decided to sit by him on the couch last night and read it out loud. By the time I was at "My favorite question in the world from Nate, 'How are you doing physically, mentally, and emotionally?', and then really listens to my answer", (see sidebar), his eyes were glazed over and he seemed to be in a coma state. I was offended at first, but then started laughing. Husbands!

Cool Stucki Family Pictures

I am so glad we are a family of digital camera lovers.

I understand if no one comments because this picture is boring...

...but I felt guilty because I didn't add Gato on my "Pet Pictures Blog" with Belle and Buddha. Plus I have no double chin and my hair looked cute. Notice how Gato is sitting like a human on his *seater. He sits like that for about an hour and then flops over to one side, rolls on his back, and sits about 10-12 more hours until it is time to eat again. (*I wrote seater because when Mom was little that was a bad word for a rear/bum, and she would get nervous and scared whenever they drove through Cedar City. She felt like it was a sin. But then we all grew up in Sin City, so go figure.)

Rachel: Your Madeline-In-Utah Report

Completely ignoring me for 5 hours straight running around being Eewoks.

Maddie was a very willing target for Tyler's air gun. (The only willing target in the room. She though it was hilarious.)
Tyler got out the markers for them and decided to give them "art lessons."

Emma's face...
Maddie's jump...

Wonderful World of Wii

We finally got a Wii off of ebay now that they are more reasonably priced than before Christmas. Shucks, kinda fun. I laugh when Tyler yells to everyone "Don't touch my Wii!"

To all the mommies of little ones...

I am a HUGE lover of books, and I have read tons of parenting books, but I think the best hands-on lessons I have learned on parenting are from the show "Supernanny". I TiVo it so when Nate is at school, I stay up late watching it, (ie. last night). HELLO, I was bawling WITH the mother with 3 kids who is emotional, pregnant, and the oldest having A.D.D. and only 7 years old. It gives techniques to deal with specific problems like, hitting, "grazing" food all day, homework difficulties, staying calm, socializing and recognizing a lonely child. Added bonus: you turn off the tube glad you have the kids you have and not the little terrors that other parents are dealing with. (Although they really are not terrors for the most part, just doing what they know and have been taught by their parents). Try it, you may like it.

???????????????????????

So I was snuggling with my 7-year old son Tyler in sacrament on Sunday and he looked up at me and said, "You smell like mint. You must not be my mother. Shew and sca-dadule." What? (Bye the way, sorre about the speling airers. Not sure how ro spel some of those words).

Beware.......Live Roadkill Ahead......

Hailey and her pet hamster named Belle, which was changed to Zoe, which was changed to Raquel, which I call, "Rachel's New Roommate". Roach, you'll LOVE seeing her glowing red eyes in the middle of the night staring at you. Come visit soon!

Buddha the Lizard. Between the rodents, Nate's salt water fish and our cat-that-is-bigger-than-Emma, we are slowing becoming a zoo. All we need is another Max. (May he rest in peace).
